The San Jose Sting is an independently operated 501(c)(3) Non-profit California Corporation and is committed to being a superior girl's fastpitch softball organization.

Katelyn “Roup” Rouppet has verballed to the University of Oklahoma. Katelyn has been with the Sting since her 14 year old season and contributed to her Sting team placing 5th and 9th at the ASA Nationals. Roup will be joining Chana’e Jones and Sam Ricketts in Oklahoma and we’re excited for all three of these players. (9/25/06)

Nichole Perales has verballed to The Ohio State University. Nic has been with the Sting all of her softball career and has been to the ASA Nationals five out of six years where she has two 5th place and one 9th place finish. She was voted First Team All league last year for Valley Christian High in the WCAL league and looks forward to playing for the Buckeyes in Fall of 2007. (9/25/06)

Missy Trujillo has signed with Cal State Monterey Bay and will be competing for a First Base spot on this second year team. Missy is the only player to play for the Sting every season since it started back in 1998!!! The Sting appreciates her loyalty and dedication and wishes her luck in Monterey. (9/25/06)

Jenna Yoder and Haley Abbott have signed a Letter of Intent to attend Southeastern Louisiana for Fall 2006. Jenna has been with the Sting for four seasons and has worked extremely hard to join the elite ranks of being a competitive D1 pitcher. Haley joined the Sting this past summer and played for Valley Christian High in San Jose where she was selected to the First Team All League in the tough WCAL league. The Sting wishes them both the best of luck! (9/25/06)

Brittany Hendrickson has signed a Letter of Intent to attend the University of Pacific in Stockton for Fall 2006. Britt has been with the San Jose Sting program for five seasons in centerfield and has been the leader of the outfield. She played softball at Valley Christian High School and earned All League honors every year in the tough West Catholic Athletic League. (7/7/06)
